With ten different folding shutter, grille and closure models, the SimFlex range is one of the most comprehensive for securing store front entrances, kiosks, bar countertops, in-store concessions and separating people from space in public and retail or commercial applications.

SimFlex folding shutters offer significant benefits over other conventional shutters, particularly in large single spans, curved or faceted layouts, where simple solutions can be provided without motors, winches, floor tracks or other components.

All folding shutters are available in a choice of patterns, glazed with tempered glass, polycarbonate lexan or un-glazed using aluminium panels to create chequer plate patterns.

All SimFlex folding shutter models are easily stacked into concealing stacking pockets usually clear of the shop front line, providing unimpeded access into the retail area.

Without a requirement for floor tracks, motors, winches or cables, the SimFlex folding shutter systems are effectively maintenance free solutions to storefront design and security.

• Curtain Construction The top and bottom of each panel section is fitted with a 102mm high aluminum panel. This panels consists of an aluminium extrusion 2mm thick. It is connected into extruded hinge cleats with a 15% offcut to facilitate folding. The curtain is constructed of 152mm wide modules linked together by a continuous aluminium hinge. These hinges hold different curtain designs created by using infills, eg. tempered glass, Lexan polycarbonate, solid aluminium or grille panels arranged in a chequer plate design. (Lexan is a trademark of GE Polymers)
• Overhead Tracks Manufactured from a strong tempered aluminium alloy, class 6351-T6 extrusion, 34mm wide x 42mm total height. Standard radius curve is 356mm. Special curves manufactured to customer's individual requirements. Track sections are spliced together with joining pins and plates. There are no floor tracks
• Shutter Locking Mechanism Lock members are integral 50mm x 32mm standard extruded hollow posts. They are at both ends of each shutter or grille, at intervals of 2500mm maximum and at every curve (on countertops, specify at 1500mm maximum spacing).. Choose from seven different types of lock member. Lead posts incorporate Adams Rite Mortice Locks operated by 5-pin cylinders on each side. Immediate posts incorporate drop bolts locating into flush floor sockets. Drop bolts can be deadlocked with 5-pin cylinders.
• Operation The top of alternate panels is connected into the overhead track by a suspension rod and pairs of trolley wheels. Simply pull or push the System S12 Folding Shutter to open or close. Any length of System S12 Folding Shutter can be manually operated by a single person.
